Title: Goodbye Silverback
Description: On Monday 28th February 2011, the Silverback Channel of the river was shut to all river activities. So on Sunday 27th in commemoration of this Nile River Explorers (NRE) organised mass event, unofficially named the “Silverback Wake” to get as many people in as many different craft on to the river for a day of carnage and festivities, all the money raised from this event going to various conservation projects throughout Uganda, the tag line for the day being, “If we can't save our own Silverback, we can at least help to save others!” I was lucky enough to be part of this giant flotilla and this film documents the festivities of the day.
